The traffic of seniors to Mr. Sullivan's office is never ending. We
went to him with our problems, complaints and worries, seeking sound
advice and encouragement.

In an attempt to thank him for his support and aid, the class of
1970 dedicates this yearbook to Mr. Raymond C. Sullivan.

career as a teacher in the public school of
Reading, Massachusetts, moved into the lab-
oratory school of Salem State College, Salem,

Teaching, Chairman of the Department of Edu-
cation, Director of Admissions and Dean of
Student Affairs. On November 1, 1968, Dr.
Amsler was appointed Associate Director of
the Division of State Colleges.

President Amsler was graduated from
Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg, Massachu-

The Class of 1970 was fortunate to be a part
of North Adams State College during President
Amsler's first administrative year. We sincere-
ly wish that Dr. Amsler's future at NASC will
be prosperous and successful.

IN MEMORY OF

Valerie Frances Ordyna
September 24, 1948 - February 11, 1967

After the tempest— calm,
After the shadow-light,
And the golden dawn

breaks clearly
After the long, long night,
After the rain, the sunshine,
After the tears, the laughter-
And when this life is over,
Life eternal follows after.
